Mrs. Leach is an honors graduate of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. Her degree is in Music Education, with an emphasis on Piano and Voice Performance. Due to the nature of her choral-based alma mater, she had the incredibly fortunate experience to sing chorally and act as rehearsal pianist on stage under the direction of such conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Riccardo Muti and Zubin Mehta at halls including Juilliard, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Westminster's choirs regularly perform with the New York Philharmonic and the American Boychoir. Several of the performances she was involved in were presented on the "Live From Lincoln Center" program and broadcast on television and radio. Many recordings of the various Westminster choirs can be found at your local music store and online. Vocal performances also include touring company lead roles such as Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors" and Grace Farrell in "Annie". She has a Master's of Science degree completed through California State University in 2004.
Before moving to North Carolina, Mrs. Leach taught music in the New York and New Jersey public schools for 14 years, with experience ranging from Kindergarten to the High School level. She has conducted and accompanied countless performances and shows. She also worked as a Minister of Music for 14 years. She has never considered what she does to be a job - her work is her passion and she feels blessed to experience the world of music through the eyes of children.
